If you are interested in learning more about how a non-profit works, as well as learning more about business operations, we have many exciting opportunities for you at Friendship Botanic Gardens. We provide internships for high school seniors and college students. We offer internships in summer, fall, and spring.
Are you looking for an internship which will give you a variety of experiences under the guidance of experienced, dynamic and charismatic community leaders? If your answer is yes, then Friendship Botanic Gardens is the place for you! We operate on many levels in the community and we know that you can help us continue our rejuvenation of the gardens. If you have a unique skill set, we will find a place for it at Friendship Botanic Gardens.
Depending on how many hours an intern is able to provide with Friendship Botanic Gardens in a week, interns will have the opportunity to be immersed in many different areas of our organization, including but not limited to: fundraising events, weddings, social media and marketing, business administration, serving as Cabin Host and working with our guests, observing Board of Director meetings, and attending Local Chamber of Commerce and tourism events. This individual will learn about many aspects of running a non-profit and a general business by taking part in the operations performed on a daily basis at the gardens.
We are looking for a responsible individual who is energetic, organized, and has a strong work ethic. We are interested in adding a strong communicator and writer with a motivated spirit to learn and be a part of an amazing team of staff, volunteers, and community leaders.
Starting dates are flexible, weekly schedules are flexible, and hours per week are flexible to accommodate you!
